It's a culture thing much like "Bendición", parrandeando, and Sábado Gigante! I'm only a tostones fan, or as my sister likes to call them, "toh-stoh-knees". Then again, I've always been the Ponce-born gringa in the family while my sister's the Orlando-born Puertorriqueña. lol C'est la vie! As a Puerto Rican, I wholly understand the plantain phenom!
