Hi , this is good and funny things but i think the site should be updated . I mean what does that say about us Dominicans that were only interested in these 4 things? you’d be surprised at how many funny interesting things Dominicans do !

I absolutely agree with the notion that the term “Vaina” has been woven into the fabric of the everyday language of many Dominicans. But we need not forget of a similar expression which outdates “Vaina”, and that expression being “jodienda”. Que jodienda es esa vaina!

It’s really funny the way the Dominican people create their own language into the Spanish language. This word is really useful by the Dominican people and as you can see in the post it has many meanings so to say it you need to know the real meaning you are tying to give to this word. As this word ”VAINA” you can find many others in this culture.

“Vaina” its pretty useful in the Dominican culture but most Dominican people that use that word are country people from that country, when you go to a central city from the DR you barely can find some one using that type of word. “Vaina” its not an existent word in the Spanish language thats why we have to know the meaning of it

We did a review of Bahama Breeze and we -LOVED- the Tostones with Chicken, which is a plantain appetizer. For that alone, I’d return, even if I didn’t adore the ahi tuna. =)

Does that mean there’s a little dominican inside of me?

I’m pretty sure that his was one of the first Spanish songs I learned/ understood the words to…
“Ojalá que llueva cafe en el campo…”
Though there are probably better ones out there.
